I was waiting for the bus to hollywood sometime last summer and I met this crazy awesome woman and we struck up an interesting conversation. eventually she’s all “so if you’re canadian, why don’t you have an accent?”.

Every single American I’ve ever spoken to has said this to me.

Save for a man from Southern Florida. He said I had a very Canadian accent. No, I fucking don’t. Shortly afterwards, though, he said I had the same accent as people from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and that general area. I fail to see how that means I have a Canadian accent. ಠ_ಠ
